The USLBA Memorial Fund, Inc was established as a tax exempt organization to permit individuals or corporations to make tax deductible contributions to further the sport of lawn bowls in the USA.
Your support via this fund helps to promote lawn bowls and to keep alive a sport we all have come to love so much. You may also specify a particular usage for your funds.

Activities of the Fund
- Fostering public interest in lawn bowls
- Rendering technical assistance to communities in promoting the development of new greens or refurbishment of existing greens
- Supporting activities that enhance the skill levels of lawn bowls participants
- Rendering financial assistance to deserving individuals, including the physically challenged, to enable them to participate in international events
- Providing assistance with expenses for individuals participating in international events
- Providing assistance with travel expenses for participants in the US Championships
- Developing a youth program for lawn bowls
These activities are supported to the extent possible with available funds.
The Fund does not directly provide either facilities or equipment to individuals, clubs or organizations.
How to make a contribution
Please download the simple Memorial Fund form here and mail it to the treasurer and address provided.
Personal or business checks, travellers checks and bank drafts are all acceptable.
Appreciated Securities give you the advantage of a tax deduction for the full market value. Since the Memorial Fund is tax exempt, capital gains taxes do not have to be paid.
In addition to direct gifts, you can support lawn bowls by:
- Leaving instructions to your executor that you want contributions sent to the USLBA Memorial Fund
- Making a direct bequest in your will
- Establishing a charitable trust that you control and will provide you with tax benefits and a lifetime income. Please discuss this with a financial advisor.

How contributions will be used
The Fund currently has identified the following areas of need:
General
Unrestricted, but includes support for the physically challenged.
Membership
Support membership activities, establishment of new clubs and greens.
Instruction and Coaching
Supports divisions of the USLBA training camps.
Youth Advisory Group
Supports activities to develop youth programs throughout the United States
United States Championships
Provides travel assistance for participants and to the club(s) hosting the championships.
International Events
Provides assistance to individuals on teams representing the United States in international events and supports any club hosting such events in the USA.
